Youth Ensemble starts season Sept. 23

The Youth Ensemble, which accepts young people from 7^th through 12^th grades, officially kicks off its season Sept. 23, with a preview Teen Mass on Sept. 9.

“Summer is coming to an end, and I'm sure every one of you had a great time these past months,” said Tom Fallon, CHS Youth Ensemble director in a recent note to prior members. “Now it's time to get back to school, which also means that we're ready to start another new season of the Youth Ensemble.”

 The first gathering will be one-half rehearsal and one-half pizza party/meeting. Pizza will be followed with election of a new student director, discussion of the Christmas Presentation (play or concert or ?), review of the overall plan for the new season, and introduction of new members.

“Please talk to your friends and bring a few of them along with you,” Tom said about seeking new members. “If you tell me about them in advance, they will be more than welcome to join us for pizza. We are in need of more guys, as usual. We also need a guitar player and a bass player. We can always use another drummer and percussionist.”

“Julie and I really look forward to seeing all your smiling faces again,” Tom added, “along with some new members!” (Julie Fallon, Tom’s daughter, is assistant director.)
