Now for those of you who crave all the details!
Our 32nd Annual Country Fair begins on Wednesday, June 24 and
will run through Sunday, June 28. The
Fair will host an exciting carnival, offer games of chance and skill,
provide nightly Bingo games under the tent, treat patrons to delicious
ethnic foods, thrill young and old to top-notch entertainment, and award
someone a very generous cash prize!
Consider this your personal invitation to attend, and be sure to
invite your family and friends.
As always admission and parking are free.
On Wednesday June 24, $20 wristbands will allow
unlimited midway rides all
evening. On Sunday
afternoon, $20 wristbands will allow unlimited rides from 2-6 p.m.
Another highlight of the Fair is the
free entertainment.
Thursday, June 25 you will
marvel at the talent of our local Schaumburg and Conant
High School musicians.
This year’s Fair also features some top names in entertainment.
On Friday June 26, ONE2MANY
will perform at 7 p.m. followed by 7th Heaven at 9 p.m.
Saturday, June 27 begins with 4 p.m. Mass (SPECIAL TIME),
continues with a special show by our new Puppet Ministry at 5:15 p.m.,
and gives way to our own SHAM Rock’N Irish band at 6 p.m. and DOUBLE
SHOT, a super country duo, at 8 p.m.
Sunday June 28 our Fair begins with a special Mass on
our outdoor stage at 12 noon. It
continues at 1:30 p.m. with a puppet show and dances performed by our
own Grupo Folklórico Quetzal.
There will be cake under the tent from 2-4 p.m. with an
opportunity to visit with our pastor Father Bill as he prepares to leave
us for his new assignment at St. Nicholas in Evanston.
Sunday evening features STARWAY
at 5:30 p.m., followed by Denny Diamond and Family Jewels at 7:30 p.m.
Friday thru Sunday evenings each end with a Raffle
drawing for cash prizes.
The Friday prize is $500; the Saturday prize is $1,000; and the Sunday
Grand Prize is $10,000.
Raffle tickets are on sale now after all weekend Masses and will
be available at the Fair.
As you can see the Fair offers five fun-filled days
for the entire family. The
Country Fair Steering Committee members (Kathy Atwell, Ramon Correa, Tom
Evon, Frank Kozak, Madeline Navarra and Tony Varchetto) have worked all
year to make plans for the Fair.
Hundreds of people have volunteered to make it possible.
Now it is up to you!
