Country Fair attendees, volunteers, donors: Thanks!

Hundreds of volunteers, donors, and participants made the 30th Annual Church of the Holy Spirit Country Fair, June 20-24, a whole lot of fun.

Donors (in Schaumburg unless noted) included: America United Bank, Belvidere Fiesta Market, Thomas Bonuso D.D.S., Charles Camacho, D.D.S., Costco Wholesale, Friendship Village, Hair Haven, Heritage Bank of Schaumburg, Knights of Columbus, Premier Credit Union (Palatine), Rust-Oleum (Vernon Hills), Dr. Robert Slovick, Suburban Nite Life (West Chicago), Dr. Margaret Sujack, and Water One (Hanover Park).

Donations included: cash, gift cards, Schaumburg Flyers and Cubs tickets, advertising donations, and buy-one-get-one-free for 20 cases of water.

Other donations include coffee mugs from Corporate Fulfillment  Services and committee t-shirts from Sport Connection, and discounts from Old Town Pizza and Trinchero Family Estates for wine.

Additional donations not detailed here included other food, time, and talent, silent auction goods, services, and some of the entertainment.

The Fair activities included music and other free entertainment, food, beverages, snacks, bingo, raffle, carnival rides, a bake booth, and other games. Donations were collected for the CHS Sharing Parish. Firefighters and their fire safety trailer helped attendees learn life-saving habits and skills.

Thank you to all!

Saying thank you takes many forms, including this plaque presented to Sharon Mattioda and Jodie Butt at Sport Connection (741 E. Nerge Road, Roselle) for their long-time support of Country Fair. Photo by Tom Evon.

Those involved with Country Fair planning were able to finish the accounting and present the parish with a donation of $50,030 in September. Huge thanks go out to everyone involved who made this possible!
