Craft Bazaar sews up fun, year round
By MARK T. HOSKE
Talented or no, creative or not, if you like to sit for a bit and do
some crafting, at home or with others, there’s a place for you among the
dozens who work year round to assemble an amazing diversity of offerings
for the annual Church of the Holy Spirit Craft Bazaar.
Long-standing advice to get to the Bazaar early held true again this
year, as one early shopper grabbed a colorful U.S. map wall hanging for
his recently born nephew. Another supporter of the Bazaar came up behind
him asking, hopefully, “Are you going to buy that or were you just
looking at it?”
Raffle tickets were sold for donated prizes. A baked goods table had
more than a few people snacking even as they looked around at the Oct.
13 fundraiser.
Want to help craft for next year? Check out the times, page 8. Through
everyone’s efforts this year, the Craft Bazaar committee gave the parish
$6,200! Thanks!
Turkeys and scarecrows were among a wild diversity of offerings at
Church of the Holy Spirit Craft Bazaar this year. (Happy Thanksgiving,
by the way, even if you don’t gobble til you wobble!)
Angel ornaments in a chorus, look all peaceful as if they know us.

HANGERS
Beautifully crafted hangers were hanging around and for sale, but the
early attendees at the Bazaar, while courteous, seemed to have some
urgency about their shopping.
BAKED GOODS
“Did you know they had fudge here?” one daughter mentioned, twice, to
the amusement of her parental escort, who was clearly intent on looking
over the crafts before the baked goods.
