Puppet ministry spreads Good News across ages, cultures

Imagine a ministry in which children of different cultures and ages come together, united by a desire to have fun, share creative talents with the community, and grow in their relationship with God.

Such a “Creative Arts” ministry is underway at Church of the Holy Spirit and is in need of participants 12-16 years of age to be puppeteers, 10-12 years of age to be helpers and assist with props, and 6-16 years of age to do choreography.

Adults are needed who want to share in a high-level of artistic excellence through use of creative talents, have a desire to inspire others by spreading the Good News of Christ, and want to minister to kids through the Puppet/Creative Arts Ministry.

Ministry organizers describe the Scripture-based effort as one “designed to deepen the child’s faith, provide opportunities to develop skills and talents, and empower the child to participate in church-wide productions.”

Needs include: puppet team leaders, publicity and social event planners, scriptwriters, audio and sound technicians, lighting technicians, stage management and backstage coordinators, choreographers, prop coordinators and creators, costumers for puppet costumes and scenery, and set and scenery designers.

Interested? Please call the Parish Office at 847-882-7580.
