CHS food pantry
Youth are among those donating to the Church of the Holy Spirit Food Pantry, with products, cash, and volunteer time to staff the Pantry. If you’re interested in helping out with this important ministry, call LaVerne Horgan at (847) 843-2487.
The CHS St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry is open on Thursdays from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Park in the back lot near the garages. Enter the lower level door of the Kane Center that faces the back of the garages. No appointment is needed.
La alacena de comida de la Sociedad de St. Vincent de Paul está abierta los jueves de las 2 a las 5 de la tarde. Se pueden estacionar en la parte trasera de los garages. Entren el Centro Kane por la puerta gris tras los garages. No se necisita hacer cita.
 
Co-ed youth basketball
Registrations are accepted during the season for CHS Coed Youth Basketball. Applications are available in the Hospitality Room & the Parish Office, covering Grades 4, 5, 6     Grades 7, 8, 9, and Grades 10, 11, 12.
 
Short of stature, big on faith
Luke 9:15, the Gospel for Nov. 4, noted that Zacchaeus was up a tree: literally, to see Jesus in a crowd; and figuratively, because he knew he was a sinner. Yet Jesus reached out to him, as Jesus reaches out to us and asks to be a guest in our homes and in every moment of our lives. God is calling to us. Are we listening?
 
Benefit days continue
