    Lady of Guadalupe Feast
Celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Enactment of the apparitions by our Confirmation students.
    Cookie Baking Project
In preparation for celebrating St. Nick’s feast day, our Confirmation volunteers baked delicious cookies and packaged them along with candy for the young children of our parish.
    All Saints Day
CHS Religious Education Program celebrates “The Communion of Saints”, which is the expression which refers to the spiritual union of the members of the Church, living and the dead, those in heaven and on earth. We are united to one another forever.
The CHS Religious Ed program celebrated the feasts of All Saints and All Souls the weekend of Nov. 1st & 2nd. Our students were asked to research their name saint/birth date saint. Their projects were on display in the Hospitality Room. They did a wonderful job! Some of the students from the Spanish program were asked to do additional projects representing the cultural tradition of All Souls’ Day when families visit their deceased loved ones at the cemetery or create small altars (or altarcitos) at home in their memory. Please stop by the tables decorated with pictures, flowers and candles found in the Gathering Space.
Our Religious Ed students were asked to work together to research each child’s saint. Children were asked to wear their costumes to join in the procession at the beginning of Mass. We also want to thank all the parents for working with their children on their projects, and those who put their creativity into the saint costumes!
    Jr. High Confirmation Retreat
A wonderful group of enthusiastic people!
Goodie Bags for our Vets made by our Confirmation students.

Many thanks to all who donated candy for our Goodie Bags for Vets Project.  The CHS Confirmation classes were able to prepare 350 - 400 Goodie Bags that were be delivered personally to the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago for Veteran’s Day. The students put their artistic talent to work by decorating the bags with notes of appreciation and gratitude for those who serve our country.  Fun was had by all!

Thank you again on behalf of the Religious Education Confirmation students!
